BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
July 2, 2013
A SPECIAL and TELEPHONIC MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held in the Mayor's
Office on Tuesday, July 2, 2013.
Those in attendance included Mayor Ryan J. Bingham, Corporation Counsel Raymond Rigat, Commissioners Douglas Benedetto, Darlene Battle, and Christopher Cook, along with Deputy Police Chief Christopher Smedick, Police Chief Michael Maniago and Fire Chief Gary Brunoli. Commissioners Angelo LaMonica and Richard Zaharek participated by phone.

Mayor Bingham called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
TABLED: FIRE DEPT. AIR COND. COMPRESSOR
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Cook, the Board
considered the purchase of a Copeland compressor for the air conditioning system at the Fire Department using Capital Funds, and to refer it to the City Council and Board of Finance for approval.
Commissioner Benedetto made a motion to table, seconded by Commissioner Cook and unanimously approved.
PROMOTE TO FIRE LIEUTENANT: J. Cosgrove
On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner Cook, the Board voted unanimously to promote Firefighter James Cosgrove to the position of Lieutenant effective
July 7, 2013.
PROMOTE TO POLICE SERGEANT: D. Baldis
On a motion by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Battle, the Board voted unanimously to promote Patrolman Dustin Baldis to the position of Police Sergeant effective
July 28, 2013.
ADJOURNMENT
On a motion by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted
unanimously to adjourn at 3:10 p.m.
